Awesome cut by MC GRINGO & MC BINHO in da remixxx. Don’t have much data on this, plucked of PALMS OUT I think, but not even sure about that. The track is really hot though! Check it out:
Or BAILE FUNK, as we like to call it over here… this is a cut by OS HAWAIANOS on a classic FUNK riddim, which gets re-editted and re-used on the entire cd. So it’s all about the lyrics. Which I don’t understand Check it out:
Here’s another BAILE FUNK classic for you by MC MARCINHO. This is a nice banger with great vocals, a bit melancholic, but another classic piece of BRASIL with great beats! He later dropped another classic: GLAMUROSA!
This just blew my mind. MAGA BO talking on his blog about the daily shootouts in his area in Rio, home of the BAILE FUNK, but also home to street violence, gang wars and drugwars. Damn… Sometimes it’s hard to grasp that the music that is being created there actually is an account of life in this area.
